Disc Jockeys used to be known for simply playing tunes and keeping people on the dance floor but as the DJ became a popular option for wedding receptions, it became obvious that someone had to get the audience's attention and direct the day’s activities.
We understand the importance of a Wedding Organization. Some of the services that we can provide include:Emcee(MC) duties which include making announcements and informing your guest what is happening throughout your event in both English and Spanish(if necessary). The ability to communicate with an audience clearly and tastefully is a talent. We can provide this service to you at no additional charge.
DJ Art will be responsible for programming and mixing music. It is important that you inform us of your preferences. If there are songs you do not want to hear, remember to make it clear.
We can assist you with a timeline which includes the traditional activities such as First Dance, Family Dances, tossing of the bouquet and garter belt. The timeline should include your important song picks for these activities. DJ Art will finalize your itinerary no later than one week before your event to make sure we understand whay you want. It is also important that we know how to pronounce important names.
It has been reported that 80% of a wedding reception's success lies in the hands of the disc jockey. We will offer ideas to help you create the reception of your dreams.

DJ Art History
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. Many people don't know the History how I started to DJ. I can remember back in Elementary school that I loved friday's during 5th grade. We were allowed to bring records to school and we were allowed to play records at the end of the day. We had those old gray bulky record players and I can remember playing "You're the one that I Want" by John Travolta and Olivia Newton John. So, at an early age I loved music and I was destined to do great things. I participated in Band during Jr. High and High School and played the Trumpet. To this day, I still enjoy playing the Trumpet during Church or playing Serenatas for Mother's Day. During my sophomore year in college, I pledged into a co-ed Business Fraternity named Alpha Kappa Psi. I attended a rush meeting where new members attended a party in Edinburg. There was a DJ playing for the party and I was intrigued. I had the opportunity to speak on the microphone, and I loved it. I started to say a joke or two and had those in attendance laughing. The following semester I was a full member and I advised the Fraternity NOT to hire a DJ and I would DJ the event. I stared with cassettes, Radio Shack mixer, and pioneer home speakers. I did my first event for free but I loved doing it. Many classmates would call me to come DJ and I would show up and be the life of the party. One day, one of my Alpha Kappa Psi brothers asked if I could DJ for their family reunion. I played for them and the party was a success. I received my first paid gig in the fall of 1990 and DJ ART was born. We have been serving the Lower Rio Grande Valley ever since.
We provide Professional DJ Services for all occasions.
